The Challenge

As GPA Logistics scaled from managing 70,000 square feet to 2 million, expanding their capabilities and offering value-added services, their data still lived across multiple platforms and spreadsheets. This slowed down the business on two fronts:

1) making smart decisions with an accurate understanding of their data and profitability and
2) preventing revenue leakage due to services rendered but not billed.

The Solution

GPA implemented Octup to create a closed-loop system that automatically captures expenses and revenue across every service line.

By integrating Octup with its tech platforms, GPA ensured that key actions performed in the warehouse were recorded in Octup as their single source of truth. What used to require manual tracking and spreadsheets is now visible through automated data capture and daily reporting, saving time, ensuring accuracy, and giving leadership real-time insight into warehouse performance and profitability.

The Impact

Since implementing Octup, GPA Logistics increased revenue an estimated 8–9% by improving visibility into warehouse activity and capturing work that was previously untracked or unbilled.

“We were doing phenomenal things for our customers, but sometimes we weren’t capturing the billing,” said Bill Drummer, CEO of GPA Logistics. “With Octup, everything is recorded. We’ve recaptured a significant portion of revenue that was previously slipping through the cracks.”

By centralizing operational data across inbound, outbound B2B, outbound D2C, and value-added services (VAS), GPA gained a clearer picture of where revenue was being earned and where it was being missed.

Octup now powers daily profit and loss reporting by warehouse, breaking performance down across inbound, outbound, and VAS activity. GPA can clearly see cost-to-serve and profitability by customer and workflow. Value-added services that were once tracked manually in Google Sheets are now captured directly in Octup, improving accuracy and consistency.

Operationally, Octup replaced manual, error-prone processes, like pen-and-paper tracking of inbound pallets, with automated activity capture. GPA can now track inbound volume and pallet types in real time, ensuring all warehouse work is visible and measurable. With highly configurable, client-specific rate cards, Octup adapts to GPA’s diverse customer contracts, giving leadership the confidence to protect margins and scale across DTC, B2B, and co-packing operations without blind spots.
